Designed for the spouse or partner of an avid powerboat owner who would like to improve his or her skills as first mate, become a competent powerboat operator, and be able to respond in the event of an emergency or the incapacitation of the primary boat operator.

This course covers the practical skills and knowledge required to operate a powerboat safely. It is designed for those just learning how to operate a powerboat or wanting to improve their hands-on skills. This course includes classroom and on-the-water training by U.S. Coast Guard licensed Captains and certified U.S. Sailing Powerboat Instructors.
